Itinerary Details:

Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival into Nairobi airport you will be met and briefed on your safari before being transferred to our hotel in the Karen suburbs.

Hotel Options in Nairobi:

Day 2: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, drive north towards Mt. Kenya via the picturesque Kenyan Highlands to Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The majority of Kenya’s fruit comes from these rolling hills. You’ll ultimately reach the foot of Mt. Kenya (17,057 feet), and if you’re lucky, you’ll see its peaks. Arrive in time for lunch at our camp, which is nestled in the pure stillness of the exclusive Ol Pejeta Conservancy and features unique Luxury Safari Tents gathered around a water hole. You will have the option of going on our first game drive or relaxing by the pool in the afternoon.

Day 3: Ol Pejeta Conservancy

This day is dedicated on full exploration of the exotic Ol Pejeta Sweetwaters Conservancy on two extensive game runs (morning and evening game drive). The Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including all the “Big Five” (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo and lion). The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience.

Hotel Options at Ol Pejeta Conservancy:

Days 4: Soysambu Conservancy

After breakfast, have one last morning game drive in Ol Pejeta before heading west, zigzagging back and forth over the equator and stopping briefly in Nyahururu town to see the 237-foot-tall Thompson’s Falls. After that, travel to Soysambu Conservancy and your luxury camp on Lake Elementeita’s shoreline. Arrive in time for lunch and a relaxing afternoon. Enjoy a birdwalk led by an experienced resident naturalist at Lake Elementeita, which is a hidden gem with over 450 bird species in the Soysambu conservancy.

Accommodation:

Days 5: Lake Nakuru Game Park

Lake Nakuru is the second great lake you’ll see on your journey. The lake is about 30 minutes’ drive from Elementaita, in the midst of the game park that bears its name. The park is filled with wildlife and offers a variety of activities. The entire lake becomes covered in flamingos when the water level is low, turning the entire area pink. A game drive through the park is always enjoyable, as it is home to lions, buffalos, and countless rhinos. If you’re lucky, you could even spot a leopard lounging in a tree near the lake. Before sitting down to supper and toasting to the day, return to your Lodge in Elementaita just time to watch the sun set over the lake.

Accommodation:

Days 6: Masai Mara Game Reserve

After a splendid breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch, then go on a game drive in the afternoon. The Mara remains one of the few places on the planet where wildlife can be found in the numbers that once roamed Africa’s plains and forests. The Mara hosts the spectacular seasonal migration of many thousands of Wildebeest, Zebras, and attendant predators as the northern tip of the vast Serengeti ecosystem.

Days 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today you will spend the entire day on safari in the Masai Mara, which has some of the best game viewing in Africa. If you want a longer day of game viewing, you can enjoy private morning and afternoon game drives from your camp, as well as breakfast or lunch in the bush.

Hotel Options at Masai Mara:

Days 8: Departure

Before breakfast, you will go on an early morning game drive. This pre-breakfast game drive provides excellent opportunities to see Big Cats hunting or sharing a kill. At this hour, some elusive animals, such as the leopard, may be seen. You return to the lodge for breakfast before departing for Nairobi, stopping for lunch at a designated restaurant. Drop off will be at the airport in time for your onward flight.
