Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi – Welcome to Kenya
Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a warm welcome awaits you. Our team will facilitate a seamless transfer to your hotel, allowing you to settle in and unwind after your travels. This day is set aside for rest and adjustment. You’ll be staying on a bed-and-breakfast basis, with dinner left to your preference at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 2: Discover Nairobi’s Cultural Treasures
After a nourishing breakfast, the day begins with a visit to the Nairobi National Museum, where you’ll explore fascinating exhibits showcasing Kenya’s diverse history, cultures, and wildlife. Following your museum visit, enjoy a traditional Kenyan lunch filled with rich, local flavors.
In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Bomas of Kenya, a cultural center that brings Kenya’s 50+ ethnic groups to life through song, dance, and storytelling. The performances by the Bomas Harambee Dancers, featuring live instruments and energetic routines, offer a deep connection to Kenya’s past and present.
The day concludes with a unique dinner experience at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, where meat is roasted on Maasai swords over a giant charcoal pit. A vegetarian selection is also available.

Day 3: Discover Nairobi’s Local Craftsmanship and Market Experience
Today starts with a visit to the Kazuri Beads Factory, renowned for handcrafted ceramic jewelry. Founded to support single mothers, the factory employs over 300 women and showcases the artistry behind every bead.
Lunch will be enjoyed at Tamambo Brasserie Restaurant before heading to the Maasai Market for an authentic shopping experience. From hand-beaded jewelry to traditional attire and crafts, this is the perfect place for souvenirs. After your shopping, return to your hotel for a relaxed evening. Dinner is optional and available at your own cost.

Day 4: Drive to Samburu National Reserve (Appx 5 Hours)
After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Samburu National Reserve, a 4 to 5-hour scenic drive through the changing Kenyan landscape. Upon arrival, you’ll receive a warm greeting and check into Samburu Sopa Lodge, where lunch awaits.
In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive, searching for the rare Samburu Special Five: Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, and Grevy’s Zebra. As dusk falls, return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation under the African sky.

Day 5: Samburu Cultural Immersion
Begin the day with breakfast before heading out for a Samburu Cultural Tour. Meet members of the Samburu community, adorned in vibrant traditional wear. After returning for lunch, the rest of the day can be spent relaxing or embarking on another optional game drive in the reserve.

Day 6: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park (Appx 4 Hours)

Later, embark on a game drive along the lake’s shoreline where rhinos, giraffes, pelicans, and more can be spotted. As evening falls, return to the lodge for dinner and a quiet night.

Day 7: Drive to Masai Mara (Appx 4 Hours)

At 4:00 pm, set out for a thrilling afternoon game drive, seeking out the Big Five and other wildlife like hyenas, cheetahs, and hippos. Return to camp for dinner and perhaps join a campfire session to share stories beneath the stars.

Day 9: Departure – Nairobi and Beyond

Depending on your flight schedule, you may opt for last-minute shopping or sightseeing, after which you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your enriching Kenya Homecoming Tour.
