Itinerary Details:

Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival into Nairobi airport you will be met and briefed on your safari before being transferred to our hotel in the Karen suburbs.

Day 2: Samburu National Reserve

Our driver guide will pick you from your hotel or airport early in the morning and proceed to Samburu Game Reserve. You will drive through spectacular scenery views of the central highlands and into the reserve where you’ll arrive just in time for lunch and check in at your lodge. Spend your afternoon relaxing after having lunch and later head out for your afternoon game drive that will introduce you to this beautiful home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich, and Reticulated giraffe. Ewaso Ngiro river provides excellent game viewing area.

Day 3: Samburu National Reserve

Today you will proceed for the morning game drive. One of the amazing things about Samburu is that you’ll most likely see species that are unique to this region. The Grévy’s zebra. It is found in the Samburu area as well as parts of Ethiopia. Compared to other zebras, it is taller, has larger ears, and its stripes are narrower. Grévy’s zebra is considered endangered, partly due to hunting for its skin, which fetches a high price on the world market. Another species unique to the Samburu region is the gerenuk. After lunch enjoy the afternoon game drive until dusk. You’re on the lookout for Samburu’s special “Big Five” – rare sightings of Beisa oryx, gerenuk, Grévy’s zebra, Massai ostrich, and reticulated giraffe (Somali giraffe).

Days 4: Aberdare National Park

Today after breakfast, check out and travel to Aberdare Game Park arriving in time for lunch at the Outspan Hotel. After lunch, proceed to Treetops Hotel – Located in Aberdare National Park, this world-renowned rustic Treehouse lies in the path of an ancient Elephant migratory route between the Aberdare Ranges and Mt Kenya National park, and is strategically sited right in front of a natural watering hole and salt lick. With large windows fitted in all guest rooms, restaurant and lounge guests can drink in the sight of Elephants, Buffalos, Rhinos and more from all areas including the view deck on top floor of the building. Afterwards, you will enjoy most of the game viewing from the balconies and lounge at the lodge. The waterhole and saltlick attracts a lot of wild animals.

Days 5: Lake Nakuru Game Park

Early morning breakfast at the lodge, proceed to the hotel for check out and later depart for Lake Nakuru Game Park where you will arrive in time for lunch. Check in at your lodge or camp. At 1600hrs enjoy a game drive in Lake Nakuru Game Park, sanctuary to one of the largest populations of rhinos in Kenya, plus Rothschild’s giraffes, leopards, lions, buffalos and baboons, among other incredible animals. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge.

Days 6: Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast depart Lake Nakuru for Masai mara arriving in time for lunch. Check in at the lodge. In the afternoon proceed for a game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other wild animals. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight.

Days 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve

Today you will spend the entire day on safari in the Masai Mara, which has some of the best game viewing in Africa. If you want a longer day of game viewing, you can enjoy private morning and afternoon game drives from your camp, as well as breakfast or lunch in the bush.

Days 8: Departure

Before breakfast, you will go on an early morning game drive. This pre-breakfast game drive provides excellent opportunities to see Big Cats hunting or sharing a kill. At this hour, some elusive animals, such as the leopard, may be seen. You return to the lodge for breakfast before departing for Nairobi, stopping for lunch at a designated restaurant. Drop off will be at the airport in time for your onward flight.
