Itinerary Details:

Day 1: Nairobi

On arrival into Nairobi airport you will be met and briefed on your safari before being transferred to our hotel in the Karen suburbs.

Day 2: Masai Mara National Reserve

Depart Nairobi as early as 0800hours for Masai Mara driving down through the scenic Great Rift Valley with breath-taking views of Mt. Longonot. After a brief stop-over at the Rift Valley view point to enjoy the scenery of the great escarpments, proceed to Masai Mara where you’ll arrive and check in at your lodge early in the afternoon. Enjoy your lunch as you relax at your lodge before heading out for your evening game drive till dust

Day 3: Masai Mara National Reserve

Today you will spend the entire day on safari in the Masai Mara, which has some of the best game viewing in Africa. If you want a longer day of game viewing, you can enjoy private morning and afternoon game drives from your camp, as well as breakfast or lunch in the bush.

Days 4: Lake Naivasha

Enjoy a pre-breakfast game drive between 06.30 hours and 0900hours after which you will return to the lodge for a hot breakfast. After breakfast, check out of lodge. There is an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. ($30pp)
Thereafter, proceed to Naivasha where you’ll arrive just in time for lunch and check in at your Lodge. Relax at your lodge after lunch and head out on an afternoon boat ride at the lake to see the gigantic hippos of Lake Naivasha as you proceed to Crescent Island where you can do a walk. Return later to the lodge later in evening for dinner and overnight stay

Days 5: Samburu National Reserve

Early breakfast at the lodge. Depart for Samburu National Reserve which lies on the vast semi desert lands of Northern Kenya and arrive in time for lunch. Afternoon game drive will introduce you to the animals which are peculiar to this area; the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and the Somali ostrich. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.

Days 6: Samburu National Reserve

Early this morning you will proceed for the morning game drive. One of the amazing things about Samburu is that you’ll most likely see species that are unique to this region. The Grévy’s zebra. It is found in the Samburu area as well as parts of Ethiopia. Compared to other zebras, it is taller, has larger ears, and its stripes are narrower. Grévy’s zebra is considered endangered, partly due to hunting for its skin, which fetches a high price on the world market. Another species unique to the Samburu region is the gerenuk. After lunch enjoy the afternoon game drive until dusk. You’re on the lookout for Samburu’s special “Big Five” – rare sightings of Beisa Oryx, Gerenuk, Grévy’s Zebra, Maasai Ostrich, and Reticulated Giraffe (Somali Giraffe).

Days 7: Aberdare National Park

Today after breakfast, check out and travel to Aberdare Game Park arriving in time for lunch at the Aberdare Country Club which overlooks the Aberdare Ranges. Later in the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to the Ark Lodge. This lodge is built entirely of wood resembling and named after Noah’s Ark. The lodge overlooks waterhole and salt lick that attracts a host of awesome wildlife which you’ll be able to observe from the four decks with numerous balconies and lounges within the lodge. So that you don’t miss any animal sightings, the night guard will buzz your room when special animals come to the waterhole.

Days 8: Departure

After breakfast, check out at the lodge and depart for Nairobi, drop of at the hotel or airport to catch your flight back home.
