Itinerary Details:

Day 1: Nairobi

Upon your arrival at JKIA airport in Nairobi, you will be warmly greeted by one of our travel representatives who will provide you with a comprehensive briefing. Subsequently, you will be efficiently transferred to your hotel, where you have a reservation for check-in and an overnight stay. Your accommodation includes a delightful bed and breakfast arrangement.

Day 2: Drive to Meru National Park (Appx 3Hrs)

Depart Nairobi after breakfast in your hotel for a long journey. Drive through the farmlands of Central Kenya to Meru National Park where you will arrive in time for lunch and check-in. After enjoying your lunch, relax in the lodge until later in the afternoon when you’ll head out for your afternoon game drive searching for wildlife and birdlife in this park returning to the lodge by 1800 hours for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full Day at Meru National Park

Prepare for an early morning safari game drive and bush breakfast in the Meru National Park, where you will see Zebra, Gerenuk, Kudu, Somali Ostrich, Giraffe, Beisa Oryx, buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and cheetah as well as more than 450 different types of birds. After the game drive, lunch can be enjoyed at Elsa’s Kopje with some time to relax. A late afternoon game drive will be on offer to seek out more of the wildlife abundant in the Meru National Park and sundowners in the bush. Thereafter we return to the lodge to freshen up before dinner.

Days 4: Drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Appx 2Hrs)

After morning breakfast, checkout of your lodge and depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at your lodge where you’re booked on full board basis. Enjoy your lunch and later depart for Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact, Ol Pejeta boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Return to your camp later in the evening for overnight stay.

Days 5: Full Day at Ol Pejeta Conservancy

This day is dedicated to the full exploration of the exotic Ol Pejeta Conservancy on two extensive game runs (morning and evening game drive). The Conservancy boasts an astounding variety of animals including all the “Big Five” (the endangered black rhino, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and lion). The combination of amazing wildlife and stunning views across the open plains of Ol Pejeta guarantees an unforgettable safari experience.

Days 6: Drive to Lake Naivasha (Appx 5Hrs)

Following breakfast, it will be time for you to check out of your accommodation in Ol Pejeta Conservancy and begin your journey to Lake Naivasha, situated on the floors of the Great Rift Valley. The drive to the lake will take approximately five hours, offering picturesque views along the way. Upon arrival, you will promptly check in at your lodge, typically around lunchtime, allowing for a seamless transition. Once you have settled in and enjoyed a satisfying lunch, take a moment to relax before embarking on an exciting afternoon boat safari. This unique experience will provide you with a spectacular opportunity to witness the diverse and captivating birdlife, as well as observe the graceful presence of hippos, all amidst the tranquil ambiance of this freshwater rift valley lake. Following the boat safari, you will proceed to enjoy a guided walking safari at the renowned Crescent Island, further enriching your connection with nature. The island offers a remarkable chance to explore on foot and encounter wildlife up close. Afterward, return to your lodge, where you can indulge in the delightful tradition of High Tea, followed by a delicious dinner. Spend the evening at your leisure, appreciating the serene surroundings and reflecting on the day’s adventures in anticipation of what lies ahead.

The drive to this renowned game reserve will last approximately four hours, offering glimpses of breathtaking landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, you will check in at your camp, immersing yourself in the wild beauty that awaits. Lunch will be served at the open restaurant, providing a remarkable vantage point overlooking the vast plains of the Masai Mara. You will have the opportunity to relish your meal while marveling at the scenic surroundings. Afterward, take some time to unwind and recharge. In the afternoon, around 4:00 pm, prepare for an exhilarating game drive, venturing into the enchanting realm of the Mara. Keep a keen eye out for lions, cheetahs as well as other fascinating wildlife encounters, such as leopards, hyenas, and hippos. Around 6:00 pm, return to your camp, where you can freshen up or choose to join one of the camp’s captivating bonfires or lounges. Indulge in a delectable dinner, savoring the flavors of the region. Days 8: Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve

On the morning of your eighth day, your safari adventure continues with an exhilarating full-day game drive that promises to be a highlight of your journey. With your picnic lunch in tow, you’ll set out on your safari, ready to uncover the wonders that this iconic wilderness has to offer. Throughout the day, your expert guide will navigate the diverse landscapes of Masai Mara, guiding you in search of the renowned “Big Five” – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceroses. The Mara’s rich ecosystem also presents opportunities to spot other fascinating creatures, such as hippos lounging by the water’s edge and Nile crocodiles stealthily gliding through the river. As the sun climbs higher in the sky, you’ll find the perfect spot to enjoy your picnic lunch. Nestled under the shade of a Croton tree, you’ll have the chance to relax and dine while surrounded by the breathtaking panorama of the reserve. Days 9: Full Day at Masai Mara National Reserve

Begin the day with a hearty breakfast that fuels you for a day filled with immersive cultural experiences. Venture to a local Maasai community, an iconic indigenous group in Kenya. As you enter the village guided by your expert, villagers clad in vibrant red Shuka attire will gather, initiating joyful songs and spirited jumps. Feel welcomed to join this celebration, where Maasai men leap energetically to attract women, complemented by the melodious voices of women. Following this exhilarating start, delve into personal interactions with the Maasai. Villagers will guide you to their Manyattas, inviting conversations and questions, fostering genuine cultural exchange. Translations by your guide bridge language barriers. You can even try spear throwing and long jumps, traditional warrior practices showcasing their skill. Step inside houses to witness daily life, though you may find them cozy yet dim. After the village tour, explore shops offering Maasai jewelry and handicrafts. Prices might start high, but view these purchases as contributions to the Maasai community, supporting their livelihood disrupted by national parks and reserve. You will head back to the camp for lunch and afternoon rest. Your afternoon safaris start after high tea and head out on a thrilling afternoon safari as you look for what you will not have seen the previous day as the day comes to an end you will proceed to your camp for African bush stories at our campfire.

Days 10: Departure

Following your leisurely breakfast, it will be time to check out of your camp and journey back to Nairobi, a drive of approximately 5 to 6 hours. A farewell lunch at a local restaurant in Nairobi allows for a final taste of Kenyan cuisine and culture. Depending on your departure time, you might have the chance for some last-minute shopping or additional sightseeing. Finally, you’ll be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure, marking the end of an unforgettable Kenyan safari adventure.
