Elewana Sand River Camp
Sprawled out along the secluded overgrown riverbanks of the Sand River
Elewana Sand River Camp Masai Mara is located near the Tanzanian border in Kenya’s flagship reserve. You couldn’t be closer to the action than here, where wildebeest cross the river in search of better grazing later in the year. There’s also plenty of resident wildlife, so there’s plenty to see all year.
Accommodation:
Sand River has 16 guest tents, one of which is for a family. All of these are spread out through the bush along the Sand River’s north bank, and are quite far apart. The camp is divided into two sections, with seven tents on one side and nine tents on the other. When the camp is busy, there is a second main area at the eastern end, which allows it to function as two separate camps, each with its own lounge and dining area.
