You will be picked up from your hotel or place of residence at 8 am to start the day tour. The first stop shall be at the giraffe center, which is 30 minutes away from Nairobi’s CBD. Here, you shall learn about hundreds of endangered Rothschild giraffes besides feeding and patting with the closest view you can have from an elevated platform.
Then proceed to the Karen Blixen Museum. A famous white settler story, depicted in the famous movie Out of Africa. You’ll learn the story of this amazing woman and how she changed the lives of the local people. Later, leave for lunch at the carnivore restaurant ranked Africa’s greatest Eating Experience. Spend two hours at carnivore while relishing the roasted meat to satisfaction.
Finally transfer back to your hotel after the full-day city exploration hence marking the end of the safari.

Your 4-hour trip will begin with a visit to the Giraffe Center, made famous by Daisy Rothschild, a giraffe calf rescued from the Western Kenya border. Here you will learn more about the efforts made to conserve an endangered species of giraffe known as the Rothschild Giraffe. The Giraffe Centre is the creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W. Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organization. Their main purpose is to educate Kenyan school children and youth on their country’s wildlife and environment and give local and international visitors an opportunity with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe.
Continue with a drive to Karen Blixen’s home, made famous by the film, Out of Africa. Karen Blixen lived in the house from 1917 to 1931, when the farm was sold and she left Kenya. Now a museum, this property, and the surrounding Ngong Hills were famous in the book and then the movie ‘Out of Africa’. It is a must-see for all Danes and lovers of African history and romance.
By now you’re sure to be a bit peckish, so head towards Carnivore Restaurant. After lunch, you will be dropped back at your hotel.

It was fantastic, from the time we booked to each part of the holiday, we are very lucky to spot all of the Big Five. The transport between each location was handled by Paul who were friendly and lovely to spend time with. The locations were fabulous, the highlight being Masai Mara Game Reserve!

All our pre booked excursions were top class. The highlight being our pre-dawn hot air balloon safari. Can be cold due to morning chill but worth it. Hotel adequate and food was great. Stayed in luxury tented camp, exactly what we wanted, a deep connection with nature. The visit to Maasai Village was fantastic for the kids. Overall expensive but a great experience.
