Depart Kisumu at 6 a.m., passing through Kendu Bay and Homabay on your way to Ruma National Park’s Kamato Gate for a lengthy wildlife drive. Ruma National Park, a country of rolling Savannah filled with magnificent Acacias and backed by majestic hills, epitomizes the iconic image of East Africa. The park is a unique patchwork of dreamy woodland, golden Savannah, and spectacular Escarpments, and it is easily crossed by only two major routes. It is a park that thrives in tranquility and individual enjoyment of the wilderness while being off the usual tourist trail and relatively little visited. Lunch will be served in the Park at a comfortable picnic location. After the game drive, return to Kisumu or alternatively, travel to Mbita Point to connect with an onward ferry to Kisumu via Seme to see the spectacular Kit Mikayi Rock. In the evening, we arrive in Kisumu to conclude your journey.
