Itinerary Details:

You will be picked up from your hotel or place of residence at 8 am to start the day tour. The stop will be at the giraffe center 30 minutes away from Nairobi’s CBD. Here, you’ll learn about hundreds of endangered Rothschild giraffes as well as feed and pat them with the closest view you can have from an elevated platform.
Thereafter proceed to the Karen Blixen Museum which is located at the foot of Ngong Hills. Discover the history of Karen Blixen, a Danish author of the famous book Out Of Africa. This museum was the original home of Karen Blixen and it houses the furniture, the library, as well a gallery pointing back to Karen Blixen’s life and that of her husband Baron Bror von Blixen Fincke. They were European settlers who owned a coffee farm and factory in the Ngong Hills.
Later break for lunch at your own expense at Bomas of Kenya or Tamambo or a similar restaurant and proceed to enter the auditorium for cultural dances. The tribal cultural shows take place daily between 2:30 pm and 4 pm and exhibit tribal talent in music, dance, theatre/drama, fashion shows, poetry/recitals, and comedies. Notably, if you are interested in Kenyan culture or just want an afternoon of African entertainment, this is a not-to-miss experience!
Finally transfer back to your hotel after the full-day city exploration, hence marking the end of the safari.

All our pre booked excursions were top class. The highlight being our pre-dawn hot air balloon safari. Can be cold due to morning chill but worth it. Hotel adequate and food was great. Stayed in luxury tented camp, exactly what we wanted, a deep connection with nature. The visit to Maasai Village was fantastic for the kids. Overall expensive but a great experience.
