This 3 days Flying Masai Mara Safari is ideal for travelers intending to visit Masai Mara while wanting to avoid the 5 to 6-hour road trip from Nairobi. The flight is on a light aircraft ranging in seating from 15 to 40 passengers depending on the reserved airline and passenger loads. Once at Masai Mara airstrip, you’ll be welcomed by the lodge or camp’s driver guide for a transfer to your reserved accommodation. Kindly note that your passenger baggage is limited to 15 kilos per passenger. Also, most of your game drive will generally be conducted in group tours meaning your Safari vehicle will not be on a private basis unless we specially request for an exclusive vehicle at extra cost.

Itinerary Details:

Our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel or the international airport [ JKIA] and transfer you to Wilson Airport for your flight to Nairobi. There is a 1 hour reporting time. Your Flight Baggage is strictly limited to 15 kilograms. Board your flight to Masai Mara – flying time approx 1 hour: On arrival, you will be welcomed and transferred from Mara airstrip to your reserved Lodge / Camp by the Lodge’s Driver guide in a 4×4 safari vehicle. Arrive for lunch [in case of morning flight arrival] and some leisure time at the lodge. Depart for a Safari Game drive in the late afternoon [usually 3.30 pm] during which you’ll be able to explore the surrounding parts of the Mara and see its amazing wildlife. Please note that your safari vehicle may carry other guests from the lodge. Arrive back at the lodge by evening [usually 6 to 6.30 pm] in time for dinner.

This morning you have an early start for your approximate 6.15 am Safari game drive – you will see more of the Mara’s great wildlife. Early morning, and late afternoon are considered the best times to spot animals at their most active. Return to the Lodge for a relaxed breakfast – the rest of the morning at leisure. Your lodge or camp may have a swimming pool as well as offers various add-on activities, everything from nature walks to a visit to a Maasai Village. [ Optional activities such as Maasai Village Visit and Nature walks come at an additional cost – please enquire with us ]. After the sumptuous lunch, proceed for another mid-afternoon safari game drive to further explore the reserve. Return to the Lodge or camp by evening [usually 6 pm] in time for an easygoing evening which might be livened up by entertainment provided by the lodge followed by dinner.

After a leisurely breakfast, check out of your camp and bid farewell to Masai Mara as you are transferred to the nearby airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi [ flying time approx 1 hour]. On arrival in Nairobi, our Driver-guide will be waiting for you at the Wilson Airport for your onward transfer to your hotel or the International airport.

Marvelous experience in Kenya for Christmas
Excellent email communications: prompt, thoughtful, complete. Erick really "listens," which is not always easy, especially with so many moving pieces and someone like me who is constantly asking for more details and options. The services were almost all perfectly executed. I could have done the trip myself but it was better to have Erick handling all the logistics on my behalf--and all for a fair and reasonable price. I felt he cared about our comfort, our time and our desires, and strived to fully exceed expectations.
Fantastic trip to Kenia
All our pre booked excursions were top class. The highlight being our pre-dawn hot air balloon safari. Can be cold due to morning chill but worth it. Hotel adequate and food was great. Stayed in luxury tented camp, exactly what we wanted, a deep connection with nature. The visit to Maasai Village was fantastic for the kids. Overall expensive but a great experience.
