Solio Lodge is tucked in a valley between the lofty slopes of Mount Kenya and the peaks of the Aberdare Mountains, close to Nyeri, on a private wildlife sanctuary. The only guest accommodation on the incredible 45,000-acre Solio Ranch, this intimate and luxurious lodge opened in August 2010.
Accommodation:
Solio has six opulent cottages that can accommodate up to 12 people. Rooms 5 and 6 are connected rooms that are ideal for families. There is enough room in this family room for two more beds. Each cottage has a spacious sitting area with an open fireplace and large glass plate windows with breathtaking views of Mount Kenya. All of the rooms are large enough for one or two children to comfortably share with their parents.
