Mara Plains Camp combines Kenya’s best wildlife viewing with the best safari hospitality and guidance. Each visitor to Mara Plains makes a significant contribution to the success of the Olare Motorogi Conservancy’s thriving ecosystem; conservation fees paid protect this habitat while supporting over 1,000 Maasai families. This collaboration agreement ensures the survival of a staggering amount and variety of wildlife.

The camp is nestled in lush forest on the meandering bends of the Ntiakitiak River, and every detail has been carefully considered. The seven tents each have deep canvas canopied ceilings, rough hewn wood floors, and accents from East Africa’s rich safari history. The well-appointed en-suite facilities (including a deep copper bath) and the expansive private verandah round out what is a truly stunning concept. Mara Plains is a modern-day safari retreat thanks to these stylistic elements, as well as thoughtful environmental elements like solar power and no cement.
