The 13 cottages at Tawi are individual terracotta colored thatched cottages, accessed along a network of gravel footpaths meandering amongst indigenous plants. Although each cottage is made of brick and thatch, a portion of the front wall, including the “door” and “windows,” is made of canvas, allowing the cottage to be completely opened to take in the views. The rooms are stylish and comfortable, but they can be dark. Each room has dark wooden floors, a mosquito net, and either a double or twin chunky wooden four-poster bed, as well as comfortable armchairs around a fireplace.
