Kigio Wildlife Camp
Provides a welcome break from the long transfers and constant game drives
Kigio Wildlife Camp is built with an unwavering commitment to sustainability. Every aspect of its construction and operation reflects an eco-friendly ethos. The camp was developed using sustainable pine-wood, locally sourced earth, traditional thatch provided by nearby communities, and canvas panels. Unlike conventional resorts, Kigio Wildlife Camp deliberately minimized the use of cement and steel to reduce its environmental footprint.
Furthermore, the camp operates on solar power, providing clean and renewable energy 24 hours a day. This not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels but also ensures minimal disruption to the surrounding ecosystem. Guests can enjoy modern amenities while knowing their stay supports a responsible tourism model that prioritizes nature conservation.
Luxury Accommodation in the Wild
Kigio Wildlife Camp offers a unique blend of rustic charm and modern luxury. The camp features eleven spacious suites and one two-bedroom family suite, each carefully designed to provide comfort while embracing the beauty of the surrounding wilderness.
Each suite, spanning a generous 72 square meters, is built on an elevated deck, offering breathtaking views of the Malewa River and the lush landscape beyond. The interiors boast a large bedroom and sitting area, creating a serene space where guests can relax after a day of adventure. The private bathrooms come equipped with a flush toilet and a refreshing shower, ensuring convenience without compromising the camp’s eco-conscious approach.
For added comfort, each suite includes a personal safe, a dedicated battery charging socket, and round-the-clock solar-powered electricity. Guests can enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep, knowing they are in harmony with nature while still having access to essential modern amenities.
