Crater Lake Tented Camp
A stirring encounter with wild Africa
Crater Lake Tented Camp is located at the bottom of an old volcanic crater, on the shores of a green volcanic lake. The crater covers an area of 87 hectares, with the lake taking up 14 hectares of that. The Kenyan travel magazine “Travel News and Lifestyle” has given the camp four awards, including Best Tented Camp in Kenya and Best Weekend Getaway. It has also earned the distinction of being Kenya’s most romantic camp.
Accommodation:
There are eight double rooms and two permanent family bandas at the camp, all of which have hot and cold showers. A large bush pole bed and a double Jacuzzi are featured in the Honey Moon Suite. All of the rooms have a view of the lake. The camp features a fully stocked bar, dining room, verandah, and conference room, as well as full meals and snacks.
