Nairobi National Park

The only wildlife capital in the world

Nairobi National Park, Kenya, is the only metropolis on the earth’s surface where the wilderness meets urban life. The park stands just a few miles south of Nairobi. The park is the oldest national park in Kenya, founded in 1946, and measures 117 square kilometers in size. This great park is home to many wildlife species-from the famous species of lions, zebras, and giraffes to a recorded population of over 400 species of birds. Being this close to the sprawled metropolis means it is one of the few places in the world where visitors can see animals in their natural setting and against the stunning backdrop of the skyscrapers of the city.

What is unique to Nairobi National Park is how naturally the two concepts of conservation and urbanity meet. Oftentimes, wild animals stroll around the park, and at times one may catch glimpses near the edges of the city because of its open-border design.
This is exceptional, for it meets the rare combination of wilderness and modernity that a nature lover or photographer would hardly ever get anywhere in the world.

This park forms a haven for adventure and discovery, whereby the thrill of game drives, guided nature walks, or bird-watching expeditions attracts tourists.
Starting from grassland explorations down to picnic sittings, the visit to Nairobi National Park promises thrilling bonding in nature. Whether it is an international traveler or a resident, this has been a place of visit in one’s interest in wildlife conservation.

The convenience and adventure combined in Nairobi National Park for those aiming at Kenya’s wildlife without having to journey too far from the city make it one of a kind. It stands for harmony between human development and nature, actually deserving of its title as the only wildlife capital in the world.
