Mount Longonot National Park

Situated around 90 km northwest of Nairobi, Mount Longonot National Park is a beautiful park named after the magnificent stratovolcano known as Mount Longonot. The powerful volcano flexed its fiery muscles back in the 1860s to give the rugged and fascinating landscape that charms visitors today. The park attracts hiking enthusiasts with its leading trail across Mount Longonot to the crater rim.

This is indeed one of the most challenging trails; however, the thrilling views of the Great Rift Valley and surrounding scenery make it a very memorable and rewarding journey for every season and casual climber.
