Kaluku Conservancy
An important buffer zone for Tsavo and its wildlife
The 5,000 acres of land where Kaluku Conservancy is located border Tsavo East Game Park, with the Athi and Mtito rivers acting as natural park boundaries. This area is an important buffer zone for Tsavo and its wildlife, acting as a continuous extension for the animals while also protecting two vulnerable river borders. Many orphaned animals of various species are rescued by KWS and the Conservancy’s Veterinary Teams and brought to Kaluku, where they can be fed and cared for until they are old enough to rejoin their wild relatives.
