The tour starts with a pick-up from your Nairobi hotel at 8:00 AM. The most famous gallery in the country, the Nairobi National Museum, is located on Museum Hill, five minutes by road from the city center, which could be visited as a stop-over en route to other towns in the country. This tour can also be the culmination of your safari to Kenya and allows you to learn about the country under one roof. Whichever time you come to this venue, the features and attractions put here will give you the greatest moment of holidaymaking. Collections featured here cover four themes – that is, culture, nature, history, and contemporary art. Therefore, you have the privilege of having four sections – packed with exciting pieces and ample information. Nature in this gallery offers a host of birds and animals.
Proceed to the Giraffe Centre, which allows you to see giraffes in semi-wild conditions. You will learn about their behaviors and traits, and conservation efforts are also presented. You also get a chance to feed these gentle giants. Giraffe Center where you feed Rothschild giraffes under the supervision of keepers. The center has rescued, hand-reared, and released back to the wild over 500 orphaned giraffes since opening its doors in 1979. This attraction offers opportunities to feed the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe by hand. The location offers a fine education on the physiology, behaviors, and habitat preferences of these beautiful animals.
You will be taken out for lunch (own expense) at Utamaduni Restaurant or Tamambo or a similar restaurant then enter the auditorium for cultural dances The tribal cultural shows happen every day from 2:30 pm to 4 pm on weekdays while on weekends start from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM where display tribal talent in music, dance, theatre/drama, fashion show, poetry/recitals and comedies. If you are interested in Kenyan culture or just want an afternoon of African entertainment, this is a day trip not to be missed! Then back to the hotel.
