This full-day excursion to Lake Nakuru National Park gives you a chance to see the world-renowned flamingos and to search for other wildlife such as buffaloes, rhinos, giraffes, and baboons. Lake Nakuru is world-famous and also a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. In addition to these, there are more than 400 species of birds that can be seen within the park. Large pythons live in the dense woodland between the lake and the cliffs to the west and are commonly seen crossing the roads or hanging from trees.

Itinerary Details:

Our driver guide will pick you up in the morning from the Airport, your Hotel, or place of residence and then proceed for your Lake Nakuru National Park day safari on a road trip along the flow of the Great Rift Valley with a brief stopover at the viewpoint for spectacular views of the escarpment. On arrival at the park, present your e-ticket and identification for verification before proceeding.
After clearance at the gate… proceed for an exciting game drive in search of the four Big Five found in the park, (Lion, Leopard, Black & White Rhino and Buffalo,” The Park does not have Elephants”) rear species of giraffes, monkeys, gazelles, zebras among other wildlife… Have a short stop by Lake Nakuru where you will see thousands of lesser & greater pink flamingos, white pelicans, Egyptian geese feeding from the lake.
After your mid-morning game drive, have a self-sponsored lunch in one of the camps/ lodges located within the park (Lake Nakuru Lodge or similar…) for a mouth-watering a la carte or buffet lunch.
After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game drive visiting different attractions and sights located in the park like; The Makalia Falls, a small waterfall of hidden beauty set behind unique small rocks, and the Baboon Cliff, a rocky viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the lake and parks surrounding areas. Conclude your safari and depart for Nairobi with drop off at the Airport, your hotel, or your residence.

A great itinerary professionally executed
It was fantastic, from the time we booked to each part of the holiday, we are very lucky to spot all of the Big Five. The transport between each location was handled by Paul who were friendly and lovely to spend time with. The locations were fabulous, the highlight being Masai Mara Game Reserve!

All our pre booked excursions were top class. The highlight being our pre-dawn hot air balloon safari. Can be cold due to morning chill but worth it. Hotel adequate and food was great. Stayed in luxury tented camp, exactly what we wanted, a deep connection with nature. The visit to Maasai Village was fantastic for the kids. Overall expensive but a great experience.
